The Barbados National Energy Company Limited is seeking to recruit a confident, enthusiastic and results oriented individual to fill the position of Maintenance Engineer.
Summary Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the workflows and optimizing the maintenance processes to reduce equipment downtime in the Maintenance department of the Oil & Gas operations.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Implementing and approving maintenance procedures to comply with industry’s best practices
Implementing an asset integrated management system to ensure assets remain fit for service
Ensuring that preventative maintenance is completed as per schedule
Prepare a maintenance budget for the maintenance areas of the Company
Supervising the personnel within the department to ensure the timely completion of maintenance activities
Planning and executing any Capital Projects assigned to the department
Managing the administrative aspects of the department, including Performance Appraisals, Vacation, Timekeeping and Absenteeism
Preparing monthly maintenance management reports
Ensuring that the department maintains high health and safety standards
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field,
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an industrial plant or maintenance environment
Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
Knowledge of SAP or a similar enterprise software solution
Knowledge of Commissioning/Operations/Maintenance practices and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent project management skills
A valid manual driver’s licence
