The Barbados National Energy Company Limited (BNECL) Natural Gas Division wishes to advise the public that essential natural gas infrastructure works will be carried out along Lower Collymore Rock on Friday, 17 July 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, 18 July 2026, weather permitting.
Preliminary works will commence on Thursday, 16 July 2026 within the Best-dos Santos compound and are not expected to impact vehicular traffic.
During the overnight works, temporary traffic management measures will be in place. Motorists are advised to expect delays, follow all traffic signs and the directions of traffic personnel, and use alternative routes where possible.
Persons may also experience the scent of natural gas during the execution of these works.
At this time, no interruption to natural gas service in the area is anticipated.
