BNECL Launches Inaugural “Charge Up” Volleyball Competition
The Barbados National Energy Company Limited (BNECL) is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural “Charge Up” Grass Court Volleyball Competition, scheduled for May 8 and 9, 2026, on the grounds of the Woodbourne, St. Philip location.

The event is expected to bring together local volleyball teams for two days of spirited competition, showcasing athletic talent, discipline, team work and community pride.

Through this initiative, BNECL continues to strengthen its commitment to community outreach, youth development and wellness, while partnering with local sporting clubs to support positive activities that help young people grow both on and off the court.

Spectators can look forward to an exciting atmosphere filled with high-energy games, music, and food and drinks which will be available for purchase. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view BNECL’s EcoFlow battery pack display, which will highlight practical portable power solutions ahead of the upcoming hurricane season.

The “Charge Up” Competition reflects the company’s belief that energy goes beyond what we produce and provide. It is also seen in the passion of our youth, the strength of our communities and the opportunities created when corporate Barbados invests in positive national development.

BNECL looks forward to making the “Charge Up” Competition a meaningful addition to Barbados’ sporting calendar and a platform that celebrates sport, wellness, community and the next generation of talent.
