Chefette Fun Run 2026 On Sunday 26th May, 2026, our team came out strong and proud for the Chefette Fun Run 2026, walking and running together from Rockley to Fontabelle. The event was a huge success, with over 4,000 Barbadians turning out in support of the Aunty Olga Needy Children’s Fund and the YWVA Breakfast Program.
It was inspiring to see so many people uniting for such a worthy cause. Thank you to every BNECL staff member who laced up their shoes and participated.. your energy, enthusiasm and commitment helped make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children across the island.
Charged Up Success: BNECL Hosts Inaugural Grass Court Volleyball Tournament
We are thrilled to report that our inaugural BNECL Charged Up Grass Court Volleyball Tournament was a resounding success! Held over two days on May 8 and 9, 2026, on our company grounds at Woodbourne, St. Philip, the event brought together athletes, families and community members for an unforgettable weekend of competition and camaraderie.
Under the glow of the floodlights, players showcased impressive skill, teamwork and determination on the grass courts. The atmosphere was electric.. with high flying spikes, powerful serves, enthusiastic crowd support, music, food and plenty of family friendly entertainment. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying our facilities and connecting through sport.

Special recognition goes to every team and player who competed with heart and passion. Whether battling for the title or simply coming out to enjoy the game, your participation helped make this tournament a true celebration of sports development in Barbados.
This event perfectly aligns with BNECL’s commitment to health and wellness, youth engagement and community building. Hosting it on our own grounds allowed us to open our space to the public in a positive way and demonstrate our support for active lifestyles.
A big thank you to our organizing committee, volunteers and all staff members who contributed behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. We look forward to making this an annual highlight on the sporting calendar!
